3-8-10 - Village Streetscape Design Alternatives 7:00 PM in the Town Center meeting room [This is a special meeting of the Selectboard and Planning Commission] Richmond residents and property/business owners are invited to a public session to provide input for the final streetscape alternative designs for several major streets in Richmond village. The Town of Richmond is bringing to a close a two-part planning project to identify and select improvements and designs for the streetscapes of Jericho Road (from Bridge Street to the Richmond Elementary School/Camels Hump Middle School), East Main Street (to the fire station), and Bridge Street (from US Route 2 to the Farr commercial complex). The March 8th meeting will be the final opportunity for the public to provide input on street and sidewalk design options and alternatives. Following this meeting, the Selectboard will select final streetscape designs for the three streets. Future sidewalk and road construction will be based on those final designs. The plan provides background information on the project and describes weed management priorities and control techniques, which include mechanical processes and herbicide applications. The Commission would like to provide this second opportunity for public input as we seek to approve the plan for implementation this summer.
